Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched the SBI Foundation ICU Project at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) today ,Heart surgery.
On the occasion, the Saloni Heart Centre, dedicated to the treatment of congenital heart diseases in children, received a support of about Rs 10 crore from SBI Foundation. Heart surgery ,With this fund, the centre will be equipped with modern equipment and necessary resources.
The Chief Minister said that lack of advanced medical facilities for children’s heart diseases was being felt in the state for a long time. In such a situation, the Saloni Heart Center is an important achievement for the state.Heart surgery, Started about one and a half years ago, more than 300 children have undergone successful heart surgeries at this centre so far. While the first phase is fully operational, the second phase is progressing rapidly.
He appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Mili Seth and Mr. Himanshu Seth, the founding couple of Saloni Heart Foundation and the contribution of SBI Foundation. The Chief Minister said that this is instilling new hope in thousands of families of the Union Territory. This initiative is a direct result of the Global Investors Summit in 2023 and is proving to be extremely helpful in protecting the lives of children.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that Uttar Pradesh had earlier achieved great success in eradicating a serious disease like encephalitis and now tangible progress is also being made in the treatment of heart diseases.Heart surgery , He expressed confidence that the support of SBI Foundation will further enhance the capacity of Saloni Heart Centre and it will prove to be a milestone in protecting the lives of children in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. R.K. Dhiman, Director, SGPGI briefed the Chief Minister about the achievements of the Centre since its inception. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State Shri Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, senior officials of Saloni Foundation, SBI, SGPGI and Health Department were present on the occasion.
