The Chief Minister gave away symbolic keys of houses to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), tablets to the beneficiaries under Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana and felicitation letter to Lakhpati Didi. The Chief Minister distributed food to the children. He visited the exhibition related to various schemes. During the programme, Ms. Usha, a visually impaired student, presented a poem ‘Mera Rajya, Pyara Rajya’ written in Braille to the Chief Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Moradabad is famous for its exquisite handicrafts and artisan products and its mythological and historical background. This is New Moradabad. In New Moradabad, which has taken brass products to a global platform through the ODOP scheme, today we have the privilege of connecting with the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan and gifting projects worth Rs 1,172 crore before Raksha Bandhan.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that despite the rain and adverse weather conditions in the month of Sawan, the presence of a large number of people in the program is commendable. Congratulating everyone for the projects, he said that today in the new Moradabad and new Uttar Pradesh, the benefits of the schemes are not given by looking at the face of the people, but according to the eligibility without discrimination. The government is working with this vision so that every village, poor, farmer, youth and deprived can get the benefit of the schemes. No one could have predicted this before 2017. Under the previous government, the work of disrupting the social fabric was done on the basis of caste, region, language and other grounds.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the artisans of Moradabad have given a new identity to the district with their excellent handicrafts. The double engine government has given a platform to the talent here. It is the result of the efforts made by the double engine government that the export activities have progressed rapidly in the entire state. Today Moradabad district alone exports its own products worth 11-15 thousand crore rupees. Lakhs of youth got employment opportunities. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has also awarded the Padma Awards to the brass product craftsmen of Moradabad. Let us all work together in this process of development.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that today Uttar Pradesh has become riot free. The government is running schemes like ‘One District One Product’ and ‘One District One Medical College’. The government has also come up with the project of ‘One Commissioner One University’. Through these, work is being done to provide employment to lakhs of youth of the state. Today, we have come up with similar schemes in Moradabad district.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the CM Youth Scheme is providing guarantee-free and interest-free loans up to Rs. 5 lakh to the youth willing to set up their own enterprise. There is also a provision of 10 percent margin money under the scheme. On timely repayment of the principal, they will be given a loan facility of Rs 7.5 lakh in the next phase.
In the third phase, a loan of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to that youth. It is a scheme to propel our youth on the path of prosperity.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that on the one hand, the double engine government is giving the benefit of welfare schemes with the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. On the other hand, the government is also working with the vision of providing employment to the youth. In Moradabad district alone, 5300 youth are also getting training of Uttar Pradesh Police in PAC and RTC here. Recently, the government has recruited 60,244 police personnel. In the last 8 years, 2 lakh 16 thousand police recruitment has been completed in the state. All these recruitments have been done with complete transparency without any discrimination of caste, region and language. The youth have got a place in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force according to their merit. In these recruitments, 20 per cent seats have been reserved for girls. Of the 60,244 police recruits, 12,045 are girls. All of them are receiving training today.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that these youth have made themselves a part of the state police force to contribute to a better security environment in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister called upon the people’s representatives to do the work of honouring the families of these youth. He said that before 2017, it was not possible to recruit in a fair and transparent manner in the state. At that time, there was large-scale corruption in the recruitment of police or any other department. There was no place for honesty in the recruitments. There was discrimination in recruitment and transfer-posting. And it became a business. After 2017, with the policy of zero tolerance adopted by our government, no one can now do any kind of corruption in transfer-possessing and recruitment.
The Chief Minister said that when our government was formed in 2017, no one even imagined four-lane connectivity in Moradabad city. Today this task has been accomplished.
Today we have also inaugurated Atal Residential School in Bilari tehsil.
It is also building its own university in Moradabad. When a government works with dedication towards the people, its results also come out. Atal Residential Schools are centres of modern education with world-class infrastructure. In this, priority has been given to the admission of children of poor workers and those who lost their parents during the Corona period. In the first phase, 18 such schools have been started. In these schools, 18 thousand children will get modern education simultaneously. The state government is making all arrangements for their stay, food and education.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that on the same lines, the Basic Shiksha Parishad has taken the action of constructing PM Shree Vidyalaya and Mukhyamantri Composite Vidyalaya 4 in collaboration with Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Vidyalaya, Government of India, for modern education from primary to senior secondary level in 57 other districts. A good education is a prerequisite for a healthy society and nation. Under the National Education Policy, efforts are being made to make temples of learning centres of good education. The previous government had made copying its birthright. As a result, there was a crisis of identity before the youth of Uttar Pradesh. The education system has collapsed.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the previous governments did not do any work to improve the education system during their time. The arrangements of 1 lakh 54 thousand schools run by the Basic Education Council were in shambles. The classrooms were not in good condition. There were no teachers. There was no educational material. There were no toilets, drinking water and electricity. At present, good flooring, digital classrooms and smart classes, digital labs, provision of drinking water and separate toilets for boys and girls have been constructed in 1 lakh 36 thousand council schools through Operation Kayakalp. Efforts have also been made to construct playgrounds in these schools. The school buildings are now visible.
