CM Yogi Adityanath today inaugurated Atal Residential School built at a cost of Rs. 78.73 crore in Moradabad district. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Moradabad division has been gifted with Atal Residential School as an excellent centre of state-of-the-art education with world-class infrastructure for the children of our workers who have established the country as an economic superpower of the world with their labour power. This year is the birth centenary year of revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. This school established in the name of Atal ji is our true tribute to him.
CM Yogi said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government has set up 18 Atal Residential Schools by utilising the funds collected through the construction workers registered with the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Through these residential schools, the children of 18,000 registered construction workers, children who were destitute during the Corona period, children covered under the Bal Seva Yojana, are being provided free education through quality, moral values, modern technology from classes 6 to 12. These residential schools have excellent arrangements for study and teaching, as well as for sports and skill development. There are libraries, labs and smart classes with better classrooms. Accommodation in the hostel is excellent. These Atal Residential Schools express the commitment of the double engine government towards education.
CM Yogi said that education is the cornerstone of any civilized and prosperous society. A good, cultured education imbued with national values will shape the future of the country. Before 2017, our youth faced an identity crisis. The future of the younger generation was played with by promoting the tendency of imitation. The condition of the school is very bad. The double engine government has connected 1 lakh 36 thousand schools with modern facilities through Operation Kayakalp in the last 8 years. Good facilities were provided in the schools.
Separate toilets were constructed for boys and girls. Drinking water facility has been provided. Digital libraries, labs, smart classes were provided.
On the lines of Atal Residential Schools, Mukhya Mantri Abhyudaya Vidyalayas have been started in 57 districts. The campus is spread over 12 to 15 acres.
With the inspiration of the Prime Minister, PM Shree Vidyalayas are being developed continuously in the state. Composite schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas have been upgraded from class 08 to 3 to 12. Today, Uttar Pradesh has a prominent place in the education statistics.
CM Yogi said that the new Uttar Pradesh of new India takes pride in its heritage and development journey. Uttar Pradesh has become a new centre of heritage, development and quality education. With the efforts of the double engine government, schemes like ‘One District One Product’, ‘One District One Medical College’ are writing new records of success. The double engine government is committed to the welfare of its workers. With the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, eligible people are getting the benefit of public welfare schemes without any discrimination.

CM Yogi said that through ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has shown its strength and potential to the world. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the world acknowledged the bravery and valor of the Indian forces. The enthusiasm for the country was felt in the minds of every Indian.
Greeting the people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Chief Minister said that the state government has decided that on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, free travel facility will be available to mothers and sisters in the buses of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation and Urban Development for three days from August 8 to August 10.
Earlier, the Chief Minister interacted with the children of Atal Residential School, Moradabad and distributed school bags to them. He gave away symbolic cheques and sanction letters to the beneficiaries of various schemes of Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
On this occasion, Labour Minister Anil Rajbhar, Member of Legislative Council Bhupinder Singh Chaudhary, other public representatives and senior officers of the administration were also present.
