Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with the ministers and public representatives of the Agra division regarding the development works in the commissioner’s auditorium of the district today. The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of construction works, action plans and proposed works being carried out by the Public Works, Tourism, Urban Development and Charitable Works Department in the meeting.
CM Yogi directed the officers of the concerned departments to include the proposals received from the people’s representatives in the action plan. New proposals of roads, bridges, flyovers, bypasses and inter-state border connectivity should be included in the action plan on priority basis and approved in time. All the works should be completed with quality so that development can reach the last person in the society.
CM Yogi directed to complete all the proposals of the people’s representatives on priority basis and said that the government has no shortage of funds for development works. Start all your work on time. If the action plan and proposals are not approved in time, the budget of various departments goes back.
Get proposals from people’s representatives in coordination with them and complete the project on time by spending the entire money received for development works.
Instructing the officials of the Public Works Department to include the works proposed by the people’s representatives in the legislative assembly in the action plan, the Chief Minister said that proposals should be obtained from the concerned people’s representatives to build interstate border connectivity and gateways for better and quality connectivity on the borders of all neighboring states. He directed to complete the preparations by conducting a survey in advance to make the roads pothole-free by conducting a campaign on a war footing after the rains.
CM Yogi said that every road constructed by the construction agency and the contractor has a time limit for guarantee. If the road breaks under the guarantee limit, then the repair work should be done by the concerned agency and contractor after investigation.
Strict action should be taken against the contractor concerned. Proposals should be made to eliminate black spots on all roads and highways and flyovers and bypasses in densely populated and heavy traffic areas. Considering the problems of the people, the construction work of long and short bridges and pontoon bridges on the Chambal, Yamuna, Utangan, Parvati etc. rivers of the district should be started soon by taking proposals from the people’s representatives.
Reviewing the Urban Development Department, CM Yogi said that waterlogging is a major problem in urban areas. For this, an effective drainage plan should be made in all urban bodies. Along with the construction of drains and drains, an action plan should be prepared for the proper arrangement of drainage at the last stage of drainage. A presentation was made before the Chief Minister regarding the action taken by Agra Police on Mission Asmita Abhiyan related to illegal religious conversion and crime.
The Chief Minister was apprised by the Tourism Department that 160 projects worth Rs. 590 crore are being taken up for tourism development in Agra division. An amount of Rs.379 crore has been released so far in this regard. 92 projects have been completed and 68 projects are in progress. The Chief Minister directed the Department of Charitable Works to construct approach roads to all major urban and rural temples based on the number of visitors and devotees coming to the temples.
3 In the meeting, the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Shri Jaiveer Singh informed that 28 projects have been approved in Agra. These include Kaila Mata Temple in Itaura, Sheetla Kund Dham Temple, Sati Mata Temple, Prithvi Nath Mahadev Temple, Baba Deendayal Dham Temple, ancient temples of Nath sect, renovation of old building of tourism office and tourism development works of Guru Ka Taal and Gurudwara located in Agra North.
The Tourism Minister said that funds have been approved for curation work in Firozabad, Goga Ji Kali Mandir of Tundla, Hanuman Ji Temple in Firozabad, sweaty Hanuman Ji Temple in Firozabad, Brahmadev, Shivji and Bajrangbali Temples in Shikohabad, Awaganga Temple in Shikohabad, Narkhi Temple in Tundla, Shiva Temple, Radha-Krishna Temple and Kali Mata Temple in Shikohabad, Hanuman Temple in Sirsaganj, Jagai Mata Temple, Ram-Krishna Dham Temple, Ambedkar Park, Ramkanth Ashram, Radha-Krishna Temple, Veda Upvan Park, Birth Place of Neemkrauli Baba, Aryagurukul Mahavidyalaya and Glass Museum in Firozabad.
After the review meeting, the Chief Minister unveiled and launched the foundation stone of ‘Atalpuram Township Scheme’, a new township spread over an area of about 340 acres (about 138.00 hectares) by the Agra Development Authority at an estimated cost of Rs. 1515.47 crore under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion / New City Promotion Scheme.
Vice Chairman, Agra Development Authority briefed the Chief Minister about the details of the township plan. There are 1,430 residential plots and 18 group housing plots in Atalapuram Township. There are 96 non-residential plots in the township, which have been planned for commercial, health centres, educational facilities, community centres, banquet halls, hotels, post offices / banks etc. Arrangements have also been made for fire station and residential complex as well as police outpost terrain for fire safety.
A world-class convention centre is also proposed to be built in the Atalapuram township.
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay, Sugarcane Development Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Women Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya, Minister of State for Home Guards (Independent Charge) Dharamveer Prajapati and other public representatives and senior officials of the administration were present on the occasion.
