UP CM Yogi Adityanath: Rivers are the mother and basis of our civilization and culture, work is being done to purify them through natural methods
- This effort to purify the Rapti river by saving crores of rupees through the new technology of phytoremediation is a very laudable initiative. The work of saving the river culture was started through the Namami Gange project.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath ji today inaugurated the water purification system project through natural method of drains falling into Rapti river in Transport Nagar, Gorakhpur district. The cost of this project with 15 MLD capacity is Rs 270 lakh. He visited the water purification system project and got detailed information about it.The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly built shelter home of 34 beds and 07 halls costing Rs 217 lakh. CM Yogi Adityanath said that water is life. The efforts made by the Municipal Corporation to ensure that the Rapti river in Gorakhpur remains uninterrupted and clean and its water remains clean are commendable. This is a big achievement for Gorakhpur district. This work has been done to save the fertility of the land and life. He congratulated the Nagar Nigam team for the water purification system project.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that due to polluted water, from the year 1977 to the year 2017, 50 thousand innocent children of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Gorakhpur were affected by encephalitis and other vector-borne diseases. The cause of deaths due to these viral diseases was polluted water and dirt. With the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Swachh Bharat Mission was implemented in the entire country.To supply pure drinking water to every person, Amrit Mission was started in urban areas and Jal Jeevan Mission in rural areas. Efforts were started to provide pure drinking water to every household through Har Ghar Nal Yojana.

We can connect it to the purification of every drain. This has saved the cost of electricity and maintenance and the water appears pure.

After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built shelter home in Transport Nagar.CM Yogi Adityanath said that a night shelter has been inaugurated in Dharamshala market recently. Many people come to Gorakhpur city for work. They do not have any shelter.Those people will also be able to avail the facilities by staying in these shelter homes. Shelter homes are a support for every needy person during a disaster. That is why the state government is making arrangements for such shelter homes.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is working to provide the benefits of all government facilities to every needy person. Every eligible person must get the benefits of government schemes. The work of blanket distribution has started in the entire state. Here too, the work of distributing blankets to the needy is being done. Those who have missed out on getting blankets,The administration should ensure the provision of blankets for them. The revenue department has sent funds to every district. Relief is being provided to every needy person in this severe cold wave by distributing blankets.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that it is the duty of the nation and society to support every needy person in times of distress. No one can stop the country and state from developing if the society stands up to solve the problems of the needy. Every person should work so that everyone can live a healthy life. The government and administration need to make arrangements so that no needy person sleeps in the open. It is the responsibility of every citizen and public representative to ensure that no one is forced to live in open spaces. We all should have human sympathy towards those who are mentally afflicted. Take them to hospitals and make available all government facilities. Public representatives and senior government officials were present on this occasion.
