Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that PM Narendra Modi has resolved to connect the youth of the country with Mission Rozgar in maximum numbers to achieve the goal of a developed India.
CM Yogi : Participating in this resolution, the state government has provided government jobs to more than eight and a half lakh youth of the state in the last eight years. These youth are selected through a fair and transparent selection process through various recruitment commissions of the state. The selected youth are continuously providing the benefit of their talent and energy to the state by becoming a part of the state government.
The Chief Minister was speaking after handing over appointment letters to 1510 newly selected instructors of Government Industrial Training Institutes under Mission Rozgar here today. He said that due to better law and order in the state, many investors have been attracted to invest here. The youth associated with vocational education, skill development and entrepreneurship have benefited the most from the investment made in the state. In the last 8 years, more than 60 lakh such youth have got employment in the state. These include 14 lakh youth who have received training from the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Today, these youth have adjusted to some industry or enterprise.
In the employment mahakumbh held in the state in the past few days, the trained youth were selected by many domestic and foreign companies on high salary.
The Chief Minister said that more than 300 ITIs are running in the state, in which there is a provision to provide training in 92 trades. In the last eight and a half years, more than 60 new Government ITIs have been set up in the unorganized sector. There are more than 3 thousand ITIs operating in the private sector, which are training youth in more than 100 trades as per global demand. These include traditional trades such as electricians and plumbers, as well as modern trades such as artificial intelligence, robotics and drone technology.
The Chief Minister said that under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana, the demand for plumbers has increased in large numbers. With the PNG gas pipeline expansion, new types of plumbers will be needed. To make the youth proficient in modern trades, training is being provided in 150 ITIs in collaboration with Tata Technology as per the requirements of the global market. Now the youth of the state do not need to seek employment, but the companies, impressed by their skills, are coming to the state and selecting them.
The Chief Minister said that through the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, loans up to Rs. 5 lakh are being given to the youth from 21 to 40 years without interest and guarantee. A target has been set to connect 1 lakh youth every year under this scheme. In order to realize the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Vocal for Local, “‘ One Janpad One Product Scheme” has been effectively launched at the state level. The artisans and craftsmen are the backbone of the economy. To realize the dream of Gram Swaraj of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the people doing traditional work in the villages are being encouraged by the state government. The country and the state will move towards self-reliance by making Gram 3 Panchayats and Municipalities self-reliant.
The Chief Minister said that the newly selected instructors need to hone their skills further. We should not hesitate to learn and teach. The instructors should make the youth proficient in new trades so that there is no question mark regarding their skills in the global market. The Department of Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship also engaged the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Department of Labour and Employment in organizing job fairs. If the three departments together take the campaign forward, a new chain of jobs will be seen in the state.
The Chief Minister said that before 2017, the traditional enterprises located in every district of the state were on the verge of closure. When they were connected with acquisition, designing, training and marketing by the state government, 2 crore youth got employment opportunities. At present, there are about 96 lakh MSME units in the state. The workers and labourers of the state who migrated from other states during the Corona period were accommodated in these units.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is a state with immense grace of nature and God. In this state God also had to incarnate in some form from time to time. In the last 8 years, due to the efforts made by the state government, Uttar Pradesh has become the second largest economy in the country. With the combined efforts of the state government, the people of the state, the public representatives, the officers and employees of the state government, today this state has been successful in establishing itself as the growth engine of the country. Uttar Pradesh has made a leading position in every field in the country. The state, which was in the bottom 5 before 2017, is today at the top of most central schemes.
On this occasion, the newly selected instructors expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for conducting a fair and transparent recruitment process.
