On Thursday morning, Gorakshpeethadhishwar and CM Yogi formally opened the Gorakhnath temple’s Rudra Mahayagya and Shri Hanumat Pran Pratishtha.
On April 21, Lord Hanuman’s new idol will be dedicated on the temple grounds, and on April 22, the Rudra Mahayagya will come to an end.
From Thursday to Purnahuti, there will be a variety of devotional services and rites conducted (complete ceremony).

Prior to this, a big group of ladies, led by Yogi Kamalnath, the chief priest of the Gorakhnath temple, filled the yagya kalash with water from the Bhim Sarovar while singing and chanting mantras. The procession arrived at the yagya shala, where the yagya kalash was erected at different places, after circling the Bhim Sarovar. The chief minister assumed leadership here and, after praying at the front door, went into the yagya shala’s pavilion.
Present on this occasion were Yogi Kamalnath, the head priest of the Gorakhnath temple, along with Ramanuj, Dr. Ranganath, Ashwani, Arvind Chaturvedi, Rohit Mishra, Brijesh Mani, Om Prakash, Prangesh Mishra, Abhishek Pandey, and Dr. Hriday Narayan Shukla.
