CM Yogi Adityanath said that today is the closing ceremony of the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival. 100 years ago, on August 9, 1925, through the Kakori Train Action, the great revolutionaries of that time had carried forward the revolutionary activities by capturing the treasures of the British regime, which was trying to take the blood and sweat earnings of the people of India to England.

The Chief Minister also released the book ‘Kakori Ten Actions – A Story of Courage, Sacrifice and Freedom’.
The Chief Minister visited the exhibition of paintings and records based on Kakori Train Action put up by Uttar Pradesh State Archives, Uttar Pradesh State Lalit Kala Akademi and Information and Public Relations Department. He planted a sapling at the Martyr’s Memorial premises as part of the ‘Ek Vriksha Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. The Chief Minister took a selfie at the photo booth and tied Rakhi to the girls. As many as 100 artistes presented cultural programmes on the occasion. A short film on Kakori Train Action was screened on the occasion.
CM Yogi said that there was a long line of revolutionaries including Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, T. Roshan Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajendra Nath Lahiri who led this entire campaign, who were sent to different jails by the British rule and were sent to the gallows without being given a chance to be heard. Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was hanged in Gorakhpur jail. Similarly, other revolutionaries were hanged in Gonda, Faizabad and Naini jails. Chandrashekhar Azad did not fall into the hands of British rule, but he himself attained martyrdom while fighting.
Today’s centenary is a great day to remember those great revolutionaries.
It is also a new inspiration for the present generation.
CM Yogi said that the revolutionaries had captured the treasury of only Rs 4,600 of the British rule, while the British regime had spent more than Rs 10 lakh to catch these revolutionaries and hang them without trial. Every Indian should come forward to remember and express gratitude to the revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country 100 years ago. Today’s event is going to take this resolve forward.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the great revolutionaries sacrificed themselves without caring for themselves in the spirit of patriotism to free the country from the British rule. It was the result of his spirit to pay every price for freedom that this country became independent in the year 1947. It should be our resolve that this tide of patriotism should be enshrined in the hearts of the people. For this, the tricolor, a symbol of unity and pride, has to be taken to every house.
The national flag is the symbol of India’s pride and glory. By hoisting the tricolor in every house, we have to salute the great freedom fighters, whose sacrifices have ensured that our country is independent today and the unity and integrity of India. When we work with this resolve, then the great objectives for which the revolutionaries had sacrificed themselves, that great objective will move ahead today in the form of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s vision of a developed India.
3CM Yogi Adityanath said that every Indian has always respected the bravery and valor of the Indian Army. Recently, India’s brave soldiers responded to the war imposed on India by the enemy country through Operation Sindoor with full readiness. The whole world has once again recognized the iron of India’s valor and strength. In the spirit of respect for our soldiers, the Prime Minister has called upon every Indian to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ from 13th to 15th August. Tricolour yatras should be taken out in all places, villages, wards in municipal bodies. This is the proof of our patriotism towards India.
Through them, they broke the designs of divisive forces and moved ahead with the message of national unity. It will prove to be successful in connecting every Indian together.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that this country is getting associated with the celebration of its Independence Day, at that time there should be a tricolor on every house and the spirit of Swadeshi should be awakened in the mind of every Indian. When this country was fighting for its independence, the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had worked to connect every Indian with the mantra of Swadeshi. Swadeshi should become the motto and mantra of our life. We live for our country and die for our country. When India will move forward with this zeal of patriotism, no power in the world will be able to bend our hair. This is the message of freedom.
The Chief Minister said that our festivals and celebrations are beginning. Tomorrow is Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day on 15th August and 16th August is the holy Janmashtami of Bhagwan Shri Krishna who proclaimed ‘Paritranay Sadhunan Vinashanay Ch Dushkrutam’. A long series of festivals and celebrations are ahead. Diwali, Chhath Puja and other festivals will be celebrated in a grand manner. When we buy an indigenous item on these festivals, our handicraftsmen, artisans and entrepreneurs get work. This money is ultimately spent in the development and prosperity of the country. We have to pay the price of buying foreign goods at that time, but later we also pay the price in the form of terrorism.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that even if something is expensive urgently, we should buy indigenous gifts. On October 2, every Indian, including those from Uttar Pradesh, should buy a Khadi garment from the Gandhi Ashram. His money will go to our cottage industries and women volunteer groups. India’s money will flow into India, only then India will prosper. When India’s money goes abroad, the same money will again be misused to promote terrorism, extremism and Naxalism against India. We have to avoid any misadventure where our own money is used against us.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that during the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival, the Uttar Pradesh government remembered its revolutionaries under the guidance of the Prime Minister. At the same time, the programme of revival of all martyr memorials was also taken forward. Uttar Pradesh is very prosperous in this regard. During the first war of independence in the state, the flame of revolution was lit at different places including Meerut, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, which spread hope and enthusiasm in the country that this country could be free.
4 CM Yogi Adityanath said that every success demands its own price. We had to pay the price of freedom. In 1857, revolutionaries like Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Dhan Singh Kotwal and Bandhu Singh were working to keep the flame of freedom burning. The events of Mainpuri Action in 1915, Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur in 1922 and Kakori Train Action in Lucknow in 1925 draw our attention to the zeal and enthusiasm of the revolutionaries to liberate the country. Showing respect to the immortal revolutionaries, our government decided that Lucknow’s Malihabadi mango will reach the whole world as’ Kakori Brand ‘. Today we are working to take ‘Kakori Brand’ mangoes to the whole world. It is also our tribute to the revolutionaries and a salute to their memories.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that it is his good fortune that in the centenary celebrations of Kakori Train Action, the families of those revolutionaries and the families of the brave soldiers of the country, who had sacrificed their lives for freedom while protecting the borders of the country, have got the opportunity to be honoured on this platform today. It is the duty of every Indian to show respect to our brave soldiers. The respect given by us to any person or soldier who is working to maintain the external or internal security of the country also becomes a symbol of patriotism. Greeting everyone on Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister said that every Indian should join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ and the Tiranga Yatra on August 15.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that our revolutionaries wanted a self-reliant India, not dependent on the world. Our true tribute to our revolutionaries is to make the Prime Minister’s resolve of a developed India by 2047 a success. On the occasion of the completion of the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival, we should take a pledge of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat, Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh’, ‘Vikas Bharat, Vikas Uttar Pradesh’ and ‘Garibi Mukt Bharat, Garibi Mukt Uttar Pradesh’.

The freedom movement gained momentum from here and eventually the British were forced to flee our country. In whatever field we are working, we must keep the national interest paramount. Only then can we realize the resolve of a developed India by 2047.
