CM Yogi Adityanath, while interacting with the media in Ghazipur district today, said that the district is moving in a positive direction rapidly. Revenue related cases have been settled expeditiously on merit basis and now the district has become mafia free. He informed that Ghazipur is now reaping the benefits of development by connecting with modern infrastructure.
CM Yogi informed that the state government is working towards extending Purvanchal Motorway up to Shaktinagar and connecting Ganga Motorway to Purvanchal Motorway at Ghazipur via Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Varanasi and Chandauli. He expressed confidence that these modern infrastructural projects will give a new identity to Ghazipur. He also said that he will come to Ghazipur again and dedicate and lay the foundation stone of new development schemes, which will give new gifts to the people of the district.
CM Yogi also informed that the proposal of Chowkia-Andhau bypass is being approved by the people’s representatives, which will solve the problem of development and traffic in the area. Also, the proposals for the corridor connecting Cheetnath Ghat and Collector Ghat will also be taken forward.
Describing Ghazipur as very important from the historical point of view, he said that it finds mention from the Ramayana period. For some time this district was struggling with the crisis of its identity, but now projects like Purvanchal Motorway and Maharishi Vishwamitra Autonomous State Medical College are becoming its new identity.
The Chief Minister also inspected the under-construction nursing college and reviewed the development projects in the district. He informed that projects worth about Rs 1,100 crore have either been completed or are under construction. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, work is going on at a rapid pace to provide pure drinking water to every household and officials have been instructed to ensure quality.
At the end, the Chief Minister informed that 1,534 candidates of Ghazipur district have been successful in the recently completed 60,244 Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment. He conveyed his best wishes to these selected youth and their families.
