Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today chaired a review meeting at the Annexy Auditorium in Gorakhpur, assessing development and construction projects worth over ₹100 crore in the district.
CM Yogi directed officials to run awareness campaigns on JE/AES and dengue prevention, and instructed the Municipal Corporation, Gorakhpur Development Authority, and other local bodies to launch special cleanliness drives. While reviewing the construction of Bal Vatika (kindergartens), he asked that public representatives be taken on site visits.
During the meeting, CM Yogi ordered strict action against unauthorized private ambulances and professional blood donors. He emphasized that all children in Basic Education Council schools must attend in proper uniforms. Reviewing sewerage works under AMRUT 2.0, he instructed that agencies constructing STPs should also propose 10-year operation plans. He further stressed ensuring smooth traffic flow in the district without congestion.
CM Yogi directed that nodal officers be appointed for each construction project to monitor progress and quality, with district magistrates reviewing the works weekly, fortnightly, and monthly. He asked commissioners and DMs to strengthen coordination among departments. If trees are felled for projects, replacement trees with guards must be planted. Since public funds are invested in these works, they must be used efficiently, with strict accountability for delays. He also called for better organization of street vendors.
The Chief Minister reviewed flood-preparedness measures, directing that all arrangements be completed on time and control rooms remain active. He inspected progress on bridges under construction, urging faster work with quality. On the women PAC battalion building, he instructed the district magistrate to personally check on progress. He also reviewed projects at Virasat Corridor, Pipraich, and Asuran, and directed early completion of pending registries.
He ordered speedy completion of major road projects including Bhatat, Bansgaon, and Deoria bypasses, and reviewed works of PWD (NH), U.P. Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, NHAI, and other agencies. He directed timely completion of all works within set deadlines, including the Nausad and Paidleganj 6-lane roads, District Jail bypass, and the H.N. Singh crossing to Gorakhnath temple road widening (2-lane/4-lane).
Union Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Kamlesh Paswan, MP Shri Ravi Kishan Shukla, Gorakhpur Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, along with other public representatives and senior officials, were present at the meeting.
