CM Yogi Adityanath: More than 15 lakh devotees from the state, country and Nepal expressed their reverence by offering khichdi to Gorakshanath

Uttar Pradesh CM  Yogi Adityanath has expressed gratitude to all the saints and devotees on the successful completion of the world famous traditional Khichdi Mela held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in Gorakhpur today. He said that this event of faith and devotion was completed successfully with the cooperation of all.

CM  Yogi Adityanath  said that in the Khichdi Mela organized on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, more than 15 lakh devotees from the state, country and Nepal expressed their reverence by offering khichdi of faith to Shivavatar Mahayogi Guru Gorakshanath at Shri Gorakshanath Temple. He said that the festival of Makar Sankranti gives an opportunity to express gratitude to the Father of the World, Surya. The festival is celebrated in different ways in different parts of the country. It is celebrated as Khichdi festival in various states including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

CM  Yogi Adityanath said elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the festival. Appreciating the efforts of the local administration, municipal corporation, religious and social organizations and volunteers for the successful organization of the fair, he said that all of them discharged their duties with diligence and devotion. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to the saints and seers for their guidance and cooperation in the smooth conduct of the traditional Khichdi Mela.
