Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 1,494 assistant operators and workshop staff selected in the Uttar Pradesh Police Telecommunication Department. Congratulating the youth on the occasion, he said that the dream of ‘developed India’ and ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh’ can be realized only on the strength of youth energy. That is the goal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“It is a matter of pride that you have become part of the country’s largest civil police force. Just as the government has recruited you with honesty and transparency, all of you have to discharge your duties faithfully.
Transparency and accountability in the recruitment process CM Yogi said that since 2017, the state government has empowered the Police Recruitment Board to ensure transparency in the police recruitment process. Strict action will be taken against officials or brokers who mess up any recruitment process. The state has so far recruited more than 2.17 lakh police personnel impartially, which is more than the total police force of many states. At present, the recruitment process of 30,000 more police personnel is underway.
Structural Reforms for Empowerment of Police Force The Government has set up new institutions to enhance the training capacity of the police and arrangements have been made for skill training by completing recruitment of more than 60,000 reservists. Along with this, works like setting up of high rise barracks, new police lines and police headquarters for the police have also been speeded up. Seven new police commissionerates have also been created.
Police play a vital role in maintaining law and order.
Appreciating the efficiency of the Uttar Pradesh Police, CM Yogi said that the role of promptness and sensitivity of the police in big events like Mahakumbh-2025 has been commendable. Due to better law and order in the state, the confidence of investors has increased, due to which crores of youth have got employment opportunities.
Women’s Participation and Technical Efficiency CM Yogi said that active participation of women is essential in any development model. With this approach, at least 20% women are being ensured in the police force, and this target has also been achieved in this recruitment. He said that Telecom Police is an important medium of information communication with the help of technology, and the role of such departments will increase further in the future.
Horizontal reservation to Agniveers He informed that arrangements are being made to give 20% horizontal reservation to Agniveers in Uttar Pradesh Police so that trained human resources are available.
Economy and Employment of the State CM Yogi said that the State Government has so far provided government jobs to 8.5 lakh youth and the investment has provided employment opportunities to about 2 crore youth in his district itself. Recruitment through outsourcing has also been given a new look. Due to the government’s’ zero tolerance ‘policy towards corruption, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the emerging economy of the country today.
