Crew box office collection day 1: After Shaitaan and Fighter, Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, is the third-biggest Bollywood debut of the year.
The official opening day stats of the heist comedy were released by the makers on Saturday. With its opening day gross of ₹20.07 crores at the global box office, Crew has become the highest-grossing opening day Hindi film ever for a female lead.
Crew box office collection day 1: One of Crew’s producers, Ekta Kapoor, posted a box office update on her Instagram page with the following caption: “For me, @THIRD TIME BEBO HAS DONE THIS! The tweet read, “#udtapunjab #veerediwedding n now #crew,” alluding to Kareena and her third and final successful venture together, Veere di Wedding and Udta Punjab.

There are no male actors in the main cast, Crew stands out in mainstream Hindi cinema. In the movie, Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma have supporting parts. After Shaitaan and Fighter, the movie is the third-biggest opening of the year in Hindi cinema. Shaitaan debuted with Rs 15.21 crore, whereas Fighter debuted with Rs 24.6 crore. The movie has surpassed Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, which debuted with Rs 7.02 crore.

Crew has been co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, who are reuniting after their 2018 film Veere Di Wedding which also featured Kareena alongside Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.
