CSR Journal Awards
CSR Journal Awards: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that India has a long history of social welfare and philanthropy, citing the phrase “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” Singh stated that India views all people as “our family” while speaking at the chief guest address for the sixth edition of The CSR Journal Excellence Awards.
“In India, your neighbors would always be the first to offer their voluntary support if you encounter any difficulties or tragic events. Those injured in traffic accidents are rescued and taken to the hospital by complete strangers as well. We follow “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which holds that all people are members of our family, and we regard everyone as our own because of our shared humanity, the Union Minister stated.
Since its launch in 2014, the CSR Journal has served as a wealth of knowledge and inspiration for a large number of people, inspiring them to take action and strive toward social uplift. He continued, “It is critical to acknowledge individuals who are making positive contributions to society, and The CSR Journal is deserving of recognition for this.”
Over 600 dignitaries, including senior bureaucrats, public representatives, social activists, young leaders, artists, and members of India Inc., attended the ceremony on December 9 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
As the guest of honor, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stated that it is the responsibility of Indian citizens, who live in the largest democracy in the world, to assist the underprivileged and provide for the poor.
“We have a long history of charitable giving and social responsibility in our nation. Even in the modern era, charitable donations are made in secret, according to Shinde.
Actor Aamir Khan, who was present at the ceremony, and his crew received praise from the chief minister for providing water to isolated rural areas.
“While the Central Government and State Government is doing this, the awardees of this evening are also doing a commendable job for social welfare be it in the field of education, child welfare, women empowerment, agriculture, healthcare and other fields,” he stated.
Aamir Khan was a distinguished guest at the CSR awards ceremony. His daughter Ira Khan received recognition from the Agatsu Foundation for her contributions to the field of mental health.
“As a father, I have come here to see the respect that Ira is receiving. “Today, my place is over there (pointing at the audience), but I would like to congratulate all the winners of this award,” the actor remarked.
The CSR Journal’s founder and chief editor, Amit Upadhyay, stated: “All of the honorees here are greatly improving social service within their various fields of competence. Although the law requires corporate social responsibility, it is ultimately up to us to put it into practice. All you takes to help others is intention and work; you don’t need a law.”
Radio personality Malishka Mendonsa, also known as RJ Malishka, presented the event. Suhani Shah, a magician and mentalist, enthralled the crowd with her ability to read people’s minds. Annkur Pathak, a singer, captivated the crowd with a poignant performance.
Six areas were recognized with awards: sports, agriculture and rural development, women’s empowerment and child welfare, environment, health and sanitation, education and skill development, and women’s empowerment.
The top six winners were as follows: Hindalco Industries Ltd (agriculture and rural development), Jindal Steel & Power (sports), Tata Communications (women empowerment), BALCO Medical Centre (Vedanta Medical Research Foundation) (health and sanitation), and Coca-Cola India Foundation (environment).
