Bomb threat emails target Delhi courts and CRPF schools; police conduct inspections, evacuations, and tighten security across the capital.
Delhi faced a tense morning as multiple lower courts and two CRPF schools received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate evacuations and heightened security measures. Bomb squads, police teams, and anti-sabotage units were deployed to inspect the premises thoroughly.
The affected courts include Saket Court, Patiala House Court, Tis Hazari Court, Rohini Court, and Dwarka Court, along with other district courts across the city. Following the alerts, court proceedings were temporarily suspended, and all visitors were evacuated to ensure safety. Authorities conducted detailed sweeps of the court buildings and lawyers’ chambers, but no suspicious items were found.
The threatening emails were reportedly sent in the name of “Jaish-e-Mohammed”, targeting the court complexes. This development comes shortly after the recent Red Fort blast, in which over 90 kg of explosives detonated inside a Hyundai i20 car, claiming 13 lives and injuring several others. The incident has significantly increased security vigilance across Delhi.

Saket Bar Association Responds
Anil Basoya, Secretary of the Saket Bar Association, confirmed receiving the threat email around 11:00 AM. “Following the alert, the building was evacuated, and court activities were suspended until 2 PM. All areas, including lawyers’ chambers, were checked, and nothing suspicious was found,” he said.
Bomb Threats Extend to CRPF Schools
In addition to the courts, two CRPF schools in Delhi — located in Dwarka and Prashant Vihar — also received similar bomb threats via email. Police conducted immediate inspections of the school premises to ensure the safety of students and staff. Authorities are treating the threats seriously and are investigating their source.
Security Agencies on High Alert
Police and security forces have intensified vigilance in the wake of these threats. Additional personnel have been deployed at sensitive locations, and the public has been advised to remain calm while following official updates. Authorities are coordinating efforts to trace the origin of the emails and prevent any potential security breach.
These precautionary measures underline Delhi’s continued alertness following recent terror-related incidents and emphasize the importance of prompt response to threats to safeguard citizens and institutions.
