Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has marked the completion of one year in office, presenting her government’s performance report. Emphasizing the slogan “Less Paper, More Work”, the CM highlighted key accomplishments across healthcare, social welfare, infrastructure, and urban development sectors.
CM Rekha Gupta’s One-Year Report Card
During a press conference at the Delhi Secretariat, CM Rekha Gupta stated that her government focuses on results rather than promises. Over the past year, the administration has implemented reforms aimed at improving governance, public services, and citizen-centric policies, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Developed India”.
Focus on Welfare Programs
The CM Rekha Gupta highlighted major social welfare initiatives:
Ayushman Scheme: Launched in the first cabinet meeting, the scheme has already benefited over seven lakh citizens.
Atal Canteen: 70 canteens are operational, serving approximately 70,000 meals daily to ensure affordable food access for the needy.
Slum Development: A budget of ₹700 crore has been allocated for slum redevelopment. In the first phase, 13,000 families will be provided ready-to-occupy flats. Additionally, 500 childcare centers for labor-class children have been opened.
Infrastructure Milestones
The government has made significant progress in infrastructure projects:
Roads and Flyovers: 150 km of roads completed; an additional 400 km planned before monsoon. Nand Nagri Flyover operational, with Barapula Phase-3 to open by June and Mukarba Underpass by March. Modi Mill and Savitri Cinema Flyovers construction initiated.
Delhi Drainage Master Plan: Implemented to improve urban water management. 40-foot overhead bridges planned across the city.
Water Supply Improvements: 833 km of new pipelines approved and old sewer lines replaced. Over 3.5 lakh citizens have benefited from water bill relief schemes.

Healthcare Expansion
Ayushman Arogya Mandirs: 370 new centers opened this year, with a target of 1,100 centers by year-end.
Hospital Upgrades: New blocks in five hospitals and medical equipment installations, alongside 53 new ambulances. Shortages of doctors and nurses are being addressed.
Pollution Control and Green Initiatives
CM Gupta emphasized reducing dust and smoke in the city:
Tree Plantation Drive: 35 lakh trees to increase oxygen levels and combat pollution.
Public Transport Modernization: 4,000 electric buses planned with 9,000 charging stations. New EV policy to promote sustainable transport.
CM Rekha Gupta Visits Marghat Hanuman Mandir
To mark the one-year milestone, CM Rekha Gupta visited the famous Marghat Hanuman Temple, offering prayers and seeking blessings for the welfare of Delhi residents. She reaffirmed her government’s commitment to dedicated public service and transparent governance.

CM Gupta stressed that public trust in the BJP government is being converted into tangible outcomes. She reiterated her dedication to the “Developed Delhi 2047” vision, ensuring continued efforts toward sustainable growth, welfare, and infrastructure development in the capital.
