Delhi NEWS : The Directorate of Education (DoE) is set to launch the second round of admissions for Classes 10 and 12 in Delhi government schools starting next week. This phase is for students who were unable to apply during the earlier admission window in March. Applications can be submitted online via the official website. As per the guidelines, only students who are residents of Delhi are eligible to apply for these admissions. The application process will open on July 9 and will continue until July 23. It’s important to note that this round does not include admissions to special institutions like Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas (RPVVs), Schools of Specialised Excellence, or Schools of Excellence.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Class 12 admission, students must have passed Class 11 in the 2024–25 academic year with the required subjects. Additionally, their Class 10 marks must meet the eligibility criteria for the chosen stream. There are relaxations in the required marks for students belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), as well as for minorities, Kashmiri migrants, national-level sports achievers, and students with disabilities. Specially abled applicants receive a 5% relaxation across all subjects.
Exam and Admit Card Schedule:
Admit cards for the Common Admission Test will be issued on July 30 at the respective schools where students applied. The test is scheduled for August 2, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Results will be announced on August 6. Schools are expected to finalize the admission process by August 30, as per the circular reported by PTI.
