Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announces a new Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sonia Vihar, North-East Delhi, with KVS approval and land provided by the Delhi government. School to start from classes 1 to 5.
In a major development for Delhi’s education sector, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Friday the establishment of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya in the city. The upcoming school will be located in the Yamuna East region, specifically near Khajuri Khas Police Station in the Sonia Vihar area of North-East Delhi’s parliamentary constituency. The Delhi government has already provided the necessary land to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) for this project.
New Kendriya Vidyalaya to Start with Classes 1 to 5
An official statement revealed that the infrastructure and land arrangements for the new school have been completed, and KVS has approved its operation. Initially, the school will offer classes from Grade 1 to Grade 5, with one section per class. The school will operate under the civil sector and plans for future expansion are already underway.
Currently, Delhi hosts 46 operational Kendriya Vidyalayas, and this new addition is expected to further strengthen the quality of education in the national capital.
