Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla : Ensuring advanced, accessible and affordable healthcare for all citizens is the governments highest priority

Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla stated that efforts are underway to equip all district hospitals in the state with modern facilities. He emphasized that the government’s goal is to provide high-quality healthcare services to citizens within their own districts. To achieve this, health infrastructure is being strengthened, and the necessary medical equipment is being arranged. Advanced, accessible, and affordable healthcare services remain the top priority of the government. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla inaugurated the MRI Investigation Service Centre at District Hospital Bhopal (JP Hospital), which has now become the first district hospital in the state to offer MRI services.

Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla stated that the government is committed to strengthening and expanding healthcare services across the state. He announced that MRI investigation services will soon be launched in Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla highlighted that this service will be provided to citizens at 30 percent less than the CGHS rate and will be completely free for beneficiaries registered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, there is unprecedented improvement in health services in the country. He said that Prime Minister Shri Modi himself constantly monitors the development works. He said that the improvements in the health sector in the state are being done keeping in mind not only the present but also the future challenges.

Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla said that the work of Cath Lab and heart treatment facilities will be completed in JP Hospital by March 2025. Advanced services like angiography, angioplasty, heart transplant and bypass surgery will be available here through Cath Lab and CTVS services. Under this, a 100-bed cardiac treatment unit will be set up. He instructed the officials that there should be no delay in the construction work and the quality of all services should be ensured.

Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, health services are constantly being strengthened. Medical colleges are opening. Health services are being strengthened in view of future challenges. More than 46 thousand posts are being recruited in medical assistant medical posts. With these efforts, all citizens will get excellent health security. MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Municipal Corporation Bhopal President Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rakesh Srivastava were present.

The Bhopal MRI Centre has been set up at a cost of Rs 10 crore 50 lakh, which includes building construction, equipment and technical upgradation. A 1.5 Tesla UMR 580 machine has been installed in it, which is equipped with the recently launched advanced technology. It ensures fast, accurate scanning, advanced imaging and energy efficiency. The centre has a scanning capacity of 80 patients per day, providing quality service with minimum waiting time and accurate reporting.

Service will be available at 30 percent less than CGHS rates

Free of cost to Ayushman beneficiaries

Advanced MRI facilities will be made available to patients at up to 30 perrcent less than CGHS rates. This facility will be provided completely free of cost to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. MRI Abdomen (Plain) (CGHS rate Rs. 2125) is available here at Rs. 1423. MRI Brain (Plain) (CGHS rate Rs. 1998) at Rs. 1338, MRI Shoulder (Plain) (CGHS rate Rs. 2000) at Rs. 1339 and MRI Knee (Contrast) (CGHS rate Rs. 4500) will be done at only Rs. 3014. In addition, the rate of MRI angiography (contrast) (CGHS rate Rs. 4950) has been fixed at Rs. 3315 in the hospital. Whereas, for diagnosis of serious diseases, whole body MRI (oncological workup) (CGHS rate Rs. 5100) will be available at Rs. 3415. Services like MRI back (lumbar spine) (CGHS rate Rs. 2125) are also being made available at Rs. 1423.
