Deputy CM Shukla urged social media influencers to play an active role in promoting Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector across the country and the world. Speaking at the MP Tourism Influencer Meet held at Hotel Sayaji in Rewa as part of the Rewa Tourism Conclave, he highlighted the natural beauty of the Vindhya region and the rich biodiversity of Madhya Pradesh. “Vindhya is draped in natural splendor — its waterfalls surpass even international sites,” he said, encouraging influencers to include the region’s destinations in their content.
The event aimed to promote unexplored and scenic locations of Madhya Pradesh and introduce the state’s tourism digitally to national and global audiences. Influencers from Madhya Pradesh and other states participated in the meet, which featured activities such as panel discussions, fun games, quizzes, VR experiences, and “Caption This” contests.
Principal Secretary for Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, expressed happiness that content creators from across the country are producing high-quality content showcasing the beauty of Madhya Pradesh and sharing it on social media.
Managing Director of MP State Tourism Development Corporation, Dr. Ilayaraja T., mentioned that Madhya Pradesh continues to warmly welcome tourists in line with its traditions. He spoke of the newly launched Hotel Samrat Vikramaditya – The Heritage in Ujjain, which offers a unique journey blending spiritual richness with modern comfort.
Additional Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, highlighted the state’s tourism treasures. She noted that Madhya Pradesh is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites — Khajuraho, Bhimbetka, and the Sanchi Stupas — and 15 more sites are on the tentative list. The state also boasts two Jyotirlingas, two Shakti Peethas, and 241 homestays. With over 400 films, web series, and TV shows already shot here, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a film-friendly destination. She encouraged influencers to create and share compelling content on the state’s tourism offerings.
“Peace and Joy in Madhya Pradesh”
During the panel discussion, actress Ms. Sanvikaa Singh, known for her role in the Panchayat web series, said that Madhya Pradesh radiates peace and tranquility. “The locations in Madhya Pradesh where Panchayat was filmed were so beautiful that they became a major reason for the show’s popularity,” she said. She expressed her desire to work on future projects filmed in the state.
Influencers Siddhartha Joshi and Anunay Sood also addressed the gathering and shared their perspectives on promoting tourism through content creation.
