Deputy CM Shukla chaired discussions with officials of the National Health Mission Contract Health Employees Union, following which the indefinite strike was called off on Monday. After receiving assurances from the Deputy Chief Minister regarding their demands, the Union representatives formally submitted a letter announcing the end of the strike.
The National Health Mission Contract Health Employees Union had been on an indefinite strike since 22 April 2025, raising various demands. Deputy CM Shukla assured them that appropriate action would be taken on issues including appraisal, health insurance, EPF, determination of equivalence, gratuity, earned and medical leave, among others. Following these assurances, the Contract Health Employees Union Madhya Pradesh decided to happily withdraw the strike.
National Health Mission Director Dr. Saloni Sidana, State General Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Shri Kuldeep Singh Gurjar, and other Union officials were present on the occasion.
