Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has firmly shut down speculation about entering politics after a group of civil society members publicly appealed for him to become a “new political face” of Punjab. The singer-actor responded with a clear refusal, emphasizing that his true calling lies in entertainment.
“My job is to entertain,” says Diljit
Responding to the appeal, Diljit Dosanjh made his stance unmistakably clear, writing:
“Kadey v Nhi.. Mera Kam Entertainment Karna. I am very happy in my field. Thank you so much.”
His statement comes after an article published by Punjabi Tribune discussed whether he could represent a new generation of leadership in Punjab politics. The appeal was reportedly supported by a group of retired bureaucrats, soldiers, and activists who praised his cultural influence and global reach.
However, Diljit Dosanjh’s response has put all speculation to rest, with fans largely supporting his decision to stay away from politics and continue his creative journey.
