A cheque for Rs. 1.5 lakh was given to Divya Vishwakarma by her grandfather, who thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai for his prompt involvement.
At Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s Jandarshan session, Divya Vishwakarma, 10, received instant cash assistance for her medical treatment in a touching incident. As soon as Chief Minister Shri Sai found out about Divya’s plight, he summoned her to the platform and gave orders for emergency financial support.
When Divya was three years old, her grandpa, Shri Dohat Ram Vishwakarma, told the Chief Minister that Divya had been bitten by an Indian cobra, or Gehunwa snake. Her right hand’s tissue was destroyed as a result. Her hand remained malformed even after the wound healed with homeopathic medicines. Physicians at a private hospital in Raipur recommended two procedures, each anticipated to cost between Rs 1.5 and 2 lakhs, to cure the malformation.
As a farmer in Kanechur hamlet of Nayapara, Bhanupratappur, Divya’s father, Shri Trivendra, is unable to pay for the costly medical care. Chief Minister Shri Sai directed officials to give Divya’s treatment a financial aid of Rs. 1.5 lakh, acknowledging the family’s financial limitations.
Surprisingly, the family received a cheque for Rs. 1.5 lakh an hour after the Chief Minister gave the order. Shri Vishwakarma thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai for providing medical assistance for his granddaughter. “We’re pleased that Divya’s hand will now receive treatment,” he said. Sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister.”
