Pradeep Ranganathan Opens Up About Initially Rejecting the Script
In an exclusive interview with Anupama Chopra for The Hollywood Reporter India, actor Pradeep Ranganathan revealed that he had initially turned down the film. “When I read the synopsis, I instantly said no. The core idea shocked me, and I feared how the audience would take it,” he admitted.
However, persistence paid off. Director Keerthiswaran continued to pitch the story and finally got backing from Mythri Movie Makers, who then approached Pradeep directly. “I couldn’t say no to the producer because rejecting the project might have hurt his chances,” Pradeep explained.
Meet the Crew Behind the Madness
The film’s music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography and Barath Vikraman in charge of editing. Production design is led by Latha Naidu, while action sequences are choreographed by Yannick Ben and Dinesh Subbarayan.
A Festive Clash at the Box Office
With Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) postponing its release to December 18, Dude is now Pradeep Ranganathan’s sole Diwali release. The festive week will also see the release of other films such as Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan, Harish Kalyan’s Diesel, and Carmeni Selvam, creating a competitive box office scenario.
