CM Nitish Kumar : 160 schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid.

CM Nitish Kumar today remotely inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 160 developmental schemes worth Rs. 438.51 crore at Charaun village in Sadar block of Munger district in the fourth phase of Pragati Yatra. As many as 73 schemes worth Rs. 148.40 crore were inaugurated and 87 schemes worth Rs. 290.12 crore were laid.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inspected various development works in Tarapur block of Munger district. He inspected the Middle School, Adarsh Anganwadi Centre and Jeevika Library at Ranagaon. During this time, he took information about the arrangements there and interacted with the children and encouraged them. The Chief Minister also inspected the pond constructed under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan. He also handed over token cheques to the beneficiaries of schemes of various departments.
Later, the Chief Minister conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed Ring Road (Tarapur Bypass Path) at Vanshipur village in Tarapur block where the officials gave detailed information about its construction work. This bypass will be 7 km long, which will solve the problem of congestion near Tarapur Chowk.

The Chief Minister then visited Rishikund tourist spot in Haveli Kharagpur block and inspected it. The officials briefed him about the development plan and tourist importance of Rishikund. CM Nitish Kumar said that Rushikund should be further developed, it should be deepened so that more water can be collected and people can take bath. He said that this place should be made better for tourists. On this occasion, a large number of Jeevika Didis welcomed the Chief Minister with cheers, which the Chief Minister accepted by waving his hands.

Later, CM Nitish Kumar visited the premises of Nauvagadhi High School and inaugurated the playground constructed there at a cost of Rs. 47.14 lakh. The Chief Minister interacted with the players present there and encouraged them. Along with this, he inspected the Higher Secondary School, Nauvagadhi and inaugurated the Khagaul Science Laboratory by cutting the ribbon. A student shared her knowledge about science and telescopes with the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister inspected the stalls of various departments at Charaun village and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several schemes through remote. He visited the stalls of Industries, Health, Rural Development, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Labour and Education departments. CM Nitish Kumar gave away the symbol cheques to the beneficiaries of Udyami Yojana, Startup Scheme, Student Credit Card Scheme and District Gaviya Vikas Yojana. Cheques of Rs 1 crore were given to 90 entrepreneurs and Rs 80 lakh to 80 small entrepreneurs.
The Chief Minister also inspected the stalls of Self Help Groups where various activities and products by Jeevika Didis were displayed. He handed over cheques of Rs 11.16 crore to 2258 Self Help Groups and Rs 70.24 crore to 4310 Jeevika Didi families. Divyang persons were given the keys of tricycles and CM Nitish Kumar lauded the efforts of Jeevika Didis, pointing out how in 2005 the government increased the number of self-help groups and improved the economic condition of the women of Bihar.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the Nauvagadhi Panchayat Government building and appreciated the facilities there, so that people can get solutions to their problems at one place. He inaugurated a 100-bedded model hospital built at a cost of Rs. 32.17 crore at Munger Sadar Hospital and took stock of the arrangements of the hospital which will facilitate better treatment to the people of the region.
At the end, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Rajarani pond beautified at a cost of Rs 6 crore 52 lakh and said that the pond should be kept clean and well maintained. Ministers, MLAs, and officials participated in the programme.
