CM Nitish Kumar : Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 210 schemes.
CM Nitish Kumar today remotely inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 210 developmental schemes worth Rs. 298.0729 crore from the newly constructed Town Hall Complex at Gram Panchayat Bakaur, Ward No. 5 and District Headquarters in Supaul district. This includes inauguration of 52 schemes worth Rs. 13422.75 lakhs and foundation stone laying of 158 schemes worth Rs. 16384.54 lakhs.
CM Nitish Kumar undertook an aerial survey of the under-construction Bheja-Bakaur bridge over the Kosi river on the East Kosi embankment in Gram Panchayat Bakaur of Block Supaul under Supaul district and took stock of the progress of the construction work. After this, the Chief Minister visited Bijalpur Rehabilitation Tola located in ward number 5 of Gram Panchayat Bakaur under Supaul block and inspected the developmental works carried out by various departments. The Chief Minister also interacted with the local residents. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister unveiled and inaugurated the foundation stone related to the construction of ladder ghat around Parsauni public pond, paver block foot path construction work and flying work of Parsauni public pond under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali scheme. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the pond.
CM Nitish Kumar praised the construction work of the step-like ghat around the Parsauni public pond. “It’s been a good job,” he said. This will give relief to people. The Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by Jeevika Didis and various departments. During the review, the Chief Minister interacted with the Jeevika Didis. He said that Jeevika Didis are doing very good work in the entire Bihar. In 2005, when we got an opportunity to work in Bihar, we saw that the number of self-help groups here is negligible. We started increasing the number of self-help groups by taking loans from the World Bank. Now the number of self-help groups in Bihar is 10 lakh 61 thousand, with which 1 crore 35 lakh Jeevika Didis are associated. It was we who gave the name ‘Jeevika Didi’ to the women associated with self-help groups, due to which the then central government named it ‘Aajeevika’. This has greatly improved the economic condition of women in Bihar. Women are becoming self-reliant by joining self-help groups. His dressing and speaking skills are also very good. They started talking to people. We have also started forming self-help groups in urban areas. So far, 26 thousand Self Help Groups have been formed in urban areas, in which more than 3 lakh women have joined. Jeevika didi is doing very good work. We meet people wherever we go. If there is a need, the government will fulfil it. I congratulate all of you.
In the course of the stall inspection, CM Nitish Kumar handed over a token cheque of SC / ST Atrocities Prevention Relief Grant Scheme, a reservoir constructed in Parsauni village, free transfer letter to 9 Jyoti Jeevika Mahila Gram Sansthan supported by Jeevika for the next five years, a token cheque of Rs 13.85 crore through bank loan to 554 Jeevika Self Help Groups, a key to the kitchen of Jeevika Didi located in the premises of the Samadhalaya, a token cheque of Rs 20.72 crore under revolving fund and initial investment fund to 2043 Jeevika Self Help Groups, a token cheque of Rs 1.72 crore to 452 beneficiaries under Sustainable Livelihood Scheme and a key of e-rickshaw under Sustainable Livelihood Scheme to the beneficiaries.
CM Nitish Kumar also released a booklet ‘Samadhan 2025’ and a short film ‘Toilet Clinic – Ek Samadhan’ prepared by the Supaul District Rural Development Agency on the action taken by the Supaul district administration under the Right to Public Grievances Act. The Chief Minister also inspected the Anganwadi centre and interacted with the children and teachers. Later, CM Nitish Kumar conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed bypass at Triveniganj main market. During the meeting, the officials briefed the Chief Minister about the construction of the bypass through a sketch and said that the length of the bypass is 6 km and its estimated cost is Rs 50 crore. Later, the Chief Minister also conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed Pipra Bazar bypass. Regarding the proposed Pipra bypass market, the officials informed the Chief Minister through a map that it would be 6 km long and the estimated cost would be Rs 50 crore. The officials also informed the Chief Minister that a 1.2 -km-long flyover would also be constructed at Simrahi Bazar to connect it to the East-West Corridor at an estimated cost of Rs 95 crore. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that with the construction of both the bypasses, people will be able to commute easily. All this is a good plan, work on it properly.
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the expanded Rs. 24.13 -crore dairy plant of Sudha Dairy at Supaul district headquarters by unveiling the foundation stone and pressing the button to inaugurate the plant. The Chief Minister also inspected the expanded dairy plant. During this time, he visited the milk processing unit and inquired about its functioning. Officials said that this milk production plant will expand the capacity of one to two lakh litres of milk per day. After this, the Chief Minister also inquired about the products manufactured by Sudha Dairy and its consumption.
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed Nagar Bhawan of Supaul at a cost of Rs. 888.31 lakh by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the foundation stone. In the newly constructed Nagar Bhawan itself, 15 newly appointed women supervisors, 15 newly appointed children home (children) staff under the big shelter home, Supaul and 54 newly appointed home guards were given appointment letters. On the occasion, the Chief Minister gave away appointment letters to some of the newly appointed employees. The Chief Minister also remotely inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of developmental schemes related to Supaul district from the premises of Nagar Bhawan.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the pond beside the newly constructed Nagar Bhawan complex and said that it has become a very good pond. If people come here for a walk in the morning and evening, they will like it. Later, the Chief Minister inspected the beautification and renovation work of the outdoor stadium at Supaul. During this, the Chief Minister met the players present there and enquired about their well-being. During the inspection of the stadium, the Chief Minister asked the officials to renovate the stadium in a better way so that the players can play better here and also make proper arrangements for the sports facilities of the players.
