Arvind Kejriwal Eats Mangoes to Raise Blood Sugar Level
In order to elevate his blood sugar level and use that as justification for bail, the Enforcement Directorate informed a Delhi court that Arvind Kejriwal was purposefully consuming mangoes and drinking tea with sugar.
Arvind Kejriwal was purposefully consuming sweets, mangoes, and tea with sugar, according to the Enforcement Directorate, which informed a Delhi court on Thursday. Kejriwal used this information to argue that his elevated blood sugar level qualified him for medical release. The authorities at Tihar Jail were directed by the Delhi court to provide information about the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party’s food chart.
In front of a court led by Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, ED’s attorney Zoheb Hossain said that Kejriwal was following a diet that would cause his blood sugar to rise under the pretense of home-cooked meals.
Arvind Kejriwal was making a request before the court for routine blood sugar checks and video conferences with his physician.
SANJAY SINGH SAYS DAYS SPENT IN JAIL BOOSTED MY FAITH AND STRUGGLE
Hossain informed the court that these details came to light as a result of the inquiry agency asking Tihar jail for information regarding Kejriwal’s medication schedule and nutrition.
Representing Kejriwal, attorney Vivek Jain said the court that the ED’s attorney was acting as a media gallery. At the end, Jain backed down from his plea, saying he would file a “better one.” Kejriwal was constantly shifting in his blood sugar levels, as his counsel had told the court.
In relation to the money laundering investigation pertaining to the Delhi Liquor Policy case, Kejriwal is presently being held in judicial custody in Tihar jail. His petition contesting his detention had previously been denied by the Delhi High Court, and the Delhi court had extended his judicial custody. Arvind Kejriwal has filed a Supreme Court challenge to the Delhi High Court’s ruling.
The high court determined that the Delhi CM had been arrested because the ED had sufficient evidence against him. The court stated Kejriwal’s failure to comply with the summons delayed the inquiry and had an effect on the people under judicial detention in this case. The ED’s information, according to the court, shows that Arvind Kejriwal engaged in conspiracy and actively participated in the use and concealment of criminal gains.
The ED has alleged that Arvind Kejriwal was the key conspirator behind the alleged money laundering in the now scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy.
