School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh has emphasised that every child in the state must be enrolled in school. He directed that this goal should be achieved through effective teamwork by officials and employees of the School Education Department.
During a video conference held on Thursday with departmental officials, Education Minister Uday Pratap reviewed the enrollment status in various districts. He stated that officers and employees demonstrating exemplary performance will be publicly felicitated, while those showing irresponsibility will face strict disciplinary action.
Education Minister Uday Pratap urged the department to strive for excellence in the academic year 2025–26, shaping a new direction for education. The meeting was attended by School Education Secretary Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Commissioner of Public Instruction Smt. Shilpa Gupta, Director of State Education Centre, Shri Harjinder Singh, and other departmental officials.
Instructions to Boost Enrollment Rates
Education Minister Uday Pratap conducted a district-wise review of the statewide School Admission Festival, which began on April 1, 2025. He instructed that enrollment of all school-eligible children must be ensured by the end of April.
He also reviewed the mid-day meal arrangements in schools and directed that the portal for the posting of guest teachers should be launched soon. He urged officials to complete the requirement mapping for guest teachers promptly.
Hostel Inspections to Follow a Fixed Timetable
Education Minister Uday Pratap instructed that inspections of departmental hostels be conducted according to a fixed timetable. Security arrangements in girls’ hostels should also be reviewed thoroughly. He suggested using MLA and MP funds for development works in schools.
Officials to Act as the Responsible Link in the System
Education Minister Uday Pratap instructed divisional officers to serve as the vital link between district and state-level officials. He emphasised frequent field visits. Pending files related to pensions and compassionate appointments must be resolved with priority.
Education Minister Uday Pratapannounced that in June, a review meeting with divisional and district-level officers will be held again.
Secretary Dr. Goyal informed that teacher attendance is now being recorded via the attendance portal, and added that teacher training will be prioritised to improve education quality.
