Education Secretary Shri Pardeshi : Action will be taken in cases related to poor quality education.
Education Secretary Shri Pardeshi visited Gariaband district today to review the status of teaching-learning in schools. While inspecting Government Pre-Secondary School Baruka and Malgaon, the Education Secretary expressed displeasure over the steep decline in the learning levels of Class 8 students and weakness in the subject understanding of the students. For this, he held the head reader of the school Lalit Kumar Sahu (Baruka) and the complex coordinator Bhupendra Singh Thakur (Malgaon) fully responsible and directed to suspend them immediately. Following this, Divisional Joint Director Rakesh Kumar Pandey issued an order suspending the two with immediate effect.
During the inspection of Barooka School, Education Secretary Shri Pardeshi asked general questions to the students, which revealed that their academic knowledge is very weak. Teachers of the school, Mrs. Deepa Sahu and Mrs. Kavita Sahu were also questioned about their studies and teaching, but their academic level was also found to be not satisfactory. He also expressed displeasure over the cleanliness and management of the school. The education secretary directed that a show-cause notice be issued to the two teachers by the education officer and a reply be sought from them.
