RAJASTHAN Deputy CM Diya : The Union Finance Ministry has approved two big schemes worth about Rs 145 crore sent by the Tourism Department of Rajasthan.
RAJASTHAN Deputy CM Diya Kumari had met Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in this regard on Thursday. The Union Tourism Minister had assured speedy approval of these works.
Under the special scheme of capital expenditure to make various tourist centers world class, the Central Government has approved a project worth Rs 49.31 crore for the development of Amer and Nahargarh and Rs 96.61 crore for the development of Jal Mahal area.
RAJASTHAN Deputy CM Diya Kumari had announced a scheme of Rs 100 crore for the walled area of Jaipur in the budget and since then she was trying to get approval from the Center for the ropeway and other schemes for the development of Jal Mahal and Amer-Nahargarh. .

Public Works Department has been selected for the works of boundary wall area of Jaipur, Amer Development Authority for the works of Amer and Nahargarh and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation as the executive agency for the works of Jal Mahal.The acceptance of Jal Mahal and Amer-Nahargarh development projects as capital expenditure by the Union Finance Ministry is a success of the efforts of RAJASTHAN Deputy CM Diya Kumari. Apart from capital expenditure in tourism, proposals for rope-way schemes have also been sent to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for the development of Nahargarh-Amer, for the speedy approval of which Kumari met Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday. No objection has been obtained from the Archeology and Museum Department for the development works of Jaipur walled area and Amer-Nahargarh, while no objection certificate has also been issued from the Forest Department and Rajasthan Lake Development Authority for the development works of Jalmahal area.
In order to provide world class facilities to tourists at tourist places, apart from the development works in Jaipur, the Tourism Department is also sending a detailed project report for the development of Khatu Shyam Ji and Pushkar Corridor to the Center through PDCore.
