In a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening the foundation of Empowered Women Prosperous Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has dedicated four historic schemes to the nation. These programs are designed to provide direct benefits to women across the city, enhancing their social and economic empowerment.
The launch event was graced by the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, where the Chief Minister unveiled four key schemes that will directly benefit Delhi’s women. These initiatives are expected to reduce household expenses, facilitate free travel within the city, and provide financial support for daughters’ education from school to graduation.
Four Key Schemes of the Delhi Government
Saheli Smart Pink Card
To ensure safe and convenient commuting for women, the Saheli Smart Pink National Common Mobility Card has been launched. Under this scheme, women will be able to travel for free on Delhi Transport Corporation buses, in line with the “One Nation, One Card” vision. This initiative is a major step towards Empowered Women Prosperous Delhi.
DBT for LPG and PNG Consumers
During Holi and Diwali, financial support will be directly transferred to the Aadhaar-linked accounts of women beneficiaries. Each eligible consumer will receive ₹853, while beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will receive ₹553. A total of ₹130 crore has been directly transferred to women’s accounts through this initiative. This program is a crucial step in realizing Empowered Women Prosperous Delhi.
Lakhpati Bitiya Scheme
Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance at every stage of a daughter’s life, from birth to graduation. At birth, ₹61,000 is deposited, which grows to approximately ₹1.25 lakh by the time the daughter completes her graduation. The scheme is fully digital, end-to-end online, and face-less. A budget of ₹128 crore has been allocated, including benefits for girls living in orphanages and child care institutions. Initiatives like these are central to Empowered Women Prosperous Delhi.

Meri Poonji Mera Adhikar
This program focuses on the disbursement of pending funds under the Ladli scheme. Around 1.75 lakh beneficiaries have been identified. In the first phase, ₹90 crore will be credited to the accounts of 30,000 girls, and in the second phase, ₹100 crore will be transferred to 40,000 accounts. Remaining funds will be sent directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts. Such schemes strengthen the vision of Empowered Women Prosperous Delhi.

CM Rekha Gupta emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, women’s empowerment has become a national mission.
