Instructions for strict action on illegal trade of liquor and drugs
Android mobile based application Manpasand was launched today in the meeting of Excise Department at GST Bhawan in Nava Raipur under the chairmanship of Excise Department Secretary Ms. R. Shangita.Through this mobile application, customers will not only be able to get online information about the availability of liquor in liquor shops by brand-label, shop and price through the search option available. Through this app, customers will also be able to give information to the department to ensure that the brand of their choice is not available in the liquor shop. Through this application, information about the operation of liquor shops and complaints can also be given to the department. This app has been prepared by the Excise Department in collaboration with NIC, which can be downloaded through Google Play Store. In the future iOS The based version will also be made available to the general public soon.
Along with the launch of this mobile app, the Excise Secretary held a meeting with departmental officers and thoroughly reviewed the work and activities of the entire flying squad, district and Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited and Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation.He reviewed the district-wise status of achievement of the revenue target set by the government and instructed the officers to prepare an action plan to achieve the revenue target in the remaining months of the financial year and work accordinglyHe directed to take strict action against the manufacturing, storage, transportation and sale of illegal liquor and other intoxicants in the state and to ensure availability of liquor as per the demand of the consumers.
The Excise Secretary also gave strict instructions to ensure that liquor is not sold in liquor shops at a rate higher than the prescribed rate and that liquor is not adulterated in any way C.S.M.C.L. Instructions were given to the departmental officers to ensure availability as per the demand of the customers in the liquor shops run by the liquor shops. Officials of Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited were also instructed to deposit the amount received from the sale of liquor in the bank account within the prescribed time period and to take immediate action against the concerned if any negligence is found in it.Instructions were also given for quick action with sensitivity in pension and compassionate matters in the department. In the meeting, Mr. Shyam Lal Dhawade, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation and Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited,Special Secretary (Excise) Shri Devendra Singh Bhardwaj and senior officers of the headquarters were also present.
