Family Man 3 Actor Rohit Basfore Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances
New Delhi | 29 April 2025 — Rohit Basfore, an actor known for his role in The Family Man Season 3, was found dead in Assam’s Garbhanga forest late Sunday. His sudden death has sparked serious allegations from his family, who claim it was not an accident but a case of murder.
According to police reports, Rohit had gone out with a group of friends after lunch around 12:30 PM. Later, when he did not return home, his family tried to contact him but failed. The friends who accompanied Rohit claimed he had suffered an accident in the forest and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
However, post-mortem findings revealed multiple injuries on Rohit’s head, face, and body, prompting suspicions of foul play. The injuries appeared inconsistent with a simple accident, and his family insisted that his death was premeditated.
Family Alleges Murder Linked to Previous Dispute; Four Accused on the Run
The family linked the tragedy to a recent altercation Rohit Basfore had over a parking issue with three individuals — identified as Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore. They alleged that these individuals, along with a gym owner named Amardeep who had invited Rohit for the outing, could be responsible for orchestrating the incident.
Police have registered a case and launched a search for the four accused, who are reportedly absconding. Investigators said they are pursuing multiple leads and examining mobile phone records and CCTV footage in connection with the case.
Rohit Basfore’s death has cast a shadow over the entertainment industry. Fans and colleagues took to social media to express shock and demand a thorough investigation. Many noted the eerie similarity to a previous tragedy involving Family Man actor Asif Basra, who died under mysterious circumstances in 2020.
Authorities assured that no angle would be overlooked. “We are treating this case with utmost seriousness. Until the investigation concludes, all possibilities remain open,” said a senior police officer handling the case.
