Faridkot reviews anti-drug campaign as Punjab government speeds up efforts for drug-free state under Hardeep Singh Mundian’s leadership.
A high-level review meeting of the anti-drug campaign was held in Faridkot, focusing on strengthening ongoing efforts to make Punjab a drug-free state. The initiative, led by the state government under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, aims to curb drug abuse and ensure a safer future for the youth.
The meeting brought together district administration officials, police representatives, health authorities, and members of various social and community organisations to evaluate the progress of the ongoing anti-drug drive.

Hardeep Singh Mundian Reaffirms Government Commitment
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian reiterated that the fight against drugs cannot be won by the government alone. He emphasized that active participation from society is essential to achieve the goal of a drug-free Punjab.
He stated that the government’s priority is to protect the youth from drug addiction and channel their energy towards education, employment opportunities, and constructive activities.
Mundian further stressed that coordination between administration, police, and social organisations is crucial to turn this mission into a mass movement.

Senior officials including the Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot Rahul Chaba, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, MLAs Gurditt Singh Sekhon and Amolak Singh, along with several police and administrative officers, attended the meeting.
They collectively emphasized that stronger inter-departmental coordination is essential to intensify the anti-drug campaign across Punjab.
