The Indian Navy is set to host the first-ever Indian Navy Half Marathon (INHM) on 2nd February 2025 in New Delhi.
With over 10,000 participants expected, the event will feature three race categories—21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km—offering an inclusive platform for runners of all skill levels. Organized in collaboration with IDFC FIRST Bank, this landmark marathon aims to promote fitness and camaraderie.
Extensive preparations are underway to ensure an unforgettable experience for all participants. The marathon will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with a scenic route covering India Gate and the historic Kartavya Path. Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya, will flag off the event, alongside senior Armed Forces officers, distinguished guests, and renowned sportspersons.
As a special recognition, the Indian Navy introduces The Indian Navy Slam—an exclusive honor awarded to runners who complete all four marathons organized by the Navy in Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, and New Delhi. This prestigious title symbolizes endurance, perseverance, and the spirit of the Indian Navy.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited joins as an Associate Partner, while Delhi Police and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) play crucial roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
Celebrating fitness, discipline, and national pride, the inaugural INHM reaffirms the Indian Navy’s commitment to fostering a culture of health and resilience. With an inspiring race route, esteemed dignitaries, and strong support from key partners, the event promises to be a remarkable sporting spectacle. The Navy eagerly awaits an exciting race day on 2nd February 2025 and looks forward to welcoming participants to this grand event in the heart of New Delhi.
