Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand urges citizens to complete the e-KYC process by March 31st.

Minister Lal Chand : The e-KYC process for beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 is currently in progress and must be completed by March 31st as per Government of India guidelines to ensure that all eligible individuals receive subsidized foodgrains.

Announcing this, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak urged people to visit their nearest depots to complete the e-KYC process for themselves and their family members.

Minister Lal Chand clarified that no fees would be charged for this process, and any demand for money should be immediately reported to the department for appropriate action.

So far, e-KYC has been completed for 1.17 crore beneficiaries out of a total of 1.55 crore, covering 75% of the target. The Minister emphasized the need to complete the process for the remaining beneficiaries.

Minister Lal Chand also called upon public representatives to assist citizens in this initiative and make it a widespread movement to ensure smooth and hassle-free access to benefits.
