On Sunday, Nafisa Ali posted two powerful images on her Instagram handle — one where she is smiling confidently at the camera, and another where she is seen sharing a joyful moment with her best friend, Gabby. The actress captioned the post: “Positive power… with my best friend Gabby.”
The post comes just days after she shared a heartfelt moment with her grandchildren, who were seen helping her shave her head as she began to lose hair due to chemotherapy.

The Journey of a Fighter: Nafisa’s Cancer Battle
Nafisa Ali, who played Hrithik Roshan’s mother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2010 film Guzaarish, has been open about her health struggles. She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and was declared cancer-free the following year. Unfortunately, in September 2024, she was diagnosed once again — this time with stage 4 stomach cancer (peritoneal cancer).
Despite the diagnosis and grueling chemotherapy sessions, Nafisa continues to exude positivity, resilience, and elegance, inspiring millions across the country.
