Government of Rajasthan :Chief Secretary directs officials to identify and prioritize A category investors that have shown highest commitment and interest to bring maximum output •

Government of Rajasthan : Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant chaired a high-level review meeting on tuesday to evaluate the progress on the implementation of investment proposals signed during the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. Building on the review meet chaired by Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma to review MoUs exceeding INR 1,000 crore on Monday, the meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary focused on investment MoUs ranging from INR 100 crore to INR 1,000 crore. The review meetings are part of the 3-layer monitoring structure formulated under the s upervision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma for the smooth implementation of the proposals signed during the investment summit.

Significantly, a categorization system for the signed investment proposals was also introduced trifurcating the MoUs into A, B and C categories basis the level of commitment and interest expressed by the investors. Investors that have showcased highest interest and commitment will be categorized into A category followed by those in category B and C. The Chief Secretary directed the officials to prioritize A category investors and take dedicated steps for their project grounding and implementation. The B-level and C-level investors will also be given due attention as per their investment proposition and commitment.

Government of Rajasthan has also given a clear outline to the concerned officials to establish a channel of communication with the investors, facilitate the site visits and allotment of the identified land parcels. By 31st January 2025, the concerned Department Secretaries and District Collectors will facilitate site visits for investors and assist in identifying suitable land parcels under RIICO, Municipal Corporations, or other government departments. By 31st March 2025, all identified land parcels will be allotted to the investors after due processing of their investment proposals. A direct line of communication over telephone has already been established with all investors that signed MoUs during the investment summit.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sudhansh Pant, Chief Secretary, said, “Signing record investment MoUs worth INR 35 lakh crore in the very first year of its term is a significant achievement for the Government of Rajasthan. The task is cut out for all departments to act in close coordination, identify serious “A-category” investors and ensure that their proposals are implemented efficiently across all stages. From Department Secretaries to District Collectors, all officials must act efficiently in a transparent, timeline-bound, and expeditious manner.”

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Government of Rajasthan, said, “Resolving all land-related issues remains a top priority at all levels of administration. Clearly outlined timelines, law-abiding approach and a collective decision-making will help implement the investment proposals at a fast pace. If needed, workshops will also be conducted for the nodal officers to familiarize them with the portal tracking progress on the MoUs.”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji had inaugurated the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 on December 9th. Record investment proposals worth INR 35 lakh crore were signed during the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 organised under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma. Shri Sharma during the summit had also announced that the government will take dedicated efforts to convert the signed proposals into running projects and publicly announce the progress made on the signed MoUs in the next 12 months.
