Governor Haribhau Bagde reviewed various development programmes and public welfare schemes in Churu.

He said that India is rapidly emerging as a global power. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country’s economy is getting stronger and India is strengthening its position on the global stage.

Describing Rajasthan as the land of heroes, the Governor said that the warriors here have sacrificed their lives to protect the motherland.He called upon everyone to contribute to the resolve to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. At the same time, he emphasized on building an intellectually empowered society, which can ensure the prosperity of the country.

Emphasis on education, environment and industrial development

The Governor interacted with the officials in the Zila Parishad Auditorium and gave necessary instructions. Emphasizing on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy-2020, he appealed to train teachers and remain dedicated to educational reform.

In the context of environmental protection, he emphasized on planting more and more trees and developing dense forests under the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaign. Along with this, he also highlighted the need for conservation and promotion of the state tree Khejri.

He also stressed on accelerating industrial development and encouraging local characteristics to increase employment opportunities.

Promoting agriculture and rural development

While reviewing the departmental schemes, the Governor directed to motivate farmers to set up solar power plants under the PM Suryaghar Yojana and PM Kusum Yojana.Apart from this, emphasis was laid on making the farmers aware by providing information on agriculture, marketing, horticulture and banking schemes as they take their produce to appropriate procurement centres.

He directed to ensure drinking water connectivity in all villages under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and to complete the pending connections soon.

Women empowerment and development of rural infrastructure

The Governor appealed to provide benefits of various loan schemes under Rajivika Yojana to women and ensure their effective utilization.He directed to give priority to efforts to increase road connectivity in remote villages and hamlets under MNREGA scheme, focus on cremation ground and Johar development works and increase groundwater level through water conservation.

District Collector Abhishek Surana gave information about the progress of departmental schemes and assured their effective implementation.
