Governor Mangubhai Patel attends book launch event
Governor Mangubhai Patel said an educated person’s pride lies in making others great with his knowledge. It is the pride of his education. He said that 38 years ago, by writing the book ‘Computer Ek Parichay’ to disseminate computer knowledge, the author glorified his education. His efforts to benefit the entire society are commendable.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the launch event of the 40th edition of the book ‘Computer Ek Parichay’’ of AISECT Publication at the local Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center, Bhopal. Former Director of Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, Shri Shiv Kumar Awasthi was also present on the stage as the special guest.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that book writing is a powerful medium of social service. It is the responsibility of society to honour writers who guide the society with their new thinking and vision. He appealed to the youth not to depend only on textbooks for knowledge, but also study about our country, and the knowledge of our society and culture available in books. He said that a new era of spiritual, cultural and ideological change has begun under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which the country was expecting since independence. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given an unprecedented opportunity of bondage-free education in the National Education Policy to give an important role to the youth in the efforts of nation-building. Prime Minister Shri Modi will interact with 3 thousand youth of the country on 13-14 January. Governor Shri Patel urged everyone to watch the programme. He said that participation in ideological thinking provides information regarding new subjects and work. It shows the path of the future. Appreciating Shri Santosh Chaubey, author of the book ‘Computer Ek Parichay’, he wished him a healthy and long life.
Rabindranath Tagore University Chancellor Shri Santosh Chaubey presented a shawl, shriphal, souvenir, and a set of science books and monographs of Indian scientists to Governor Shri Patel.
Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, Shri Bharat Sharan Singh highlighted the availability of computer principles in Indian knowledge tradition and the contribution of Indian scientists in computer development. He highlighted the importance of the book ‘Computer Ek Parichay’. He said that the book has contributed significantly to increasing digital literacy in Indian languages. He congratulated the author for writing the book.
While giving details of the background and development of the book, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Shri Santosh Chaubey said that the development of technology in the country is possible only through Indian languages. The institution is running 6 universities, and institution is moving forward towards establishing the 7th university in Northeast. He said that there are immense possibilities for development in every field through innovation in technology and association with society. Giving an example, he said that a book can be written with artificial intelligence, but deciding on which subject and language the book should be written is possible only with real intelligence.
The welcome address was given by Shri Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skill University. He said that the book has worked to change the attitude of people towards computers in the country and has given a new direction to their thinking. After the publication of the book, the book ‘Computer Ek Parichay’ also has a place in the examples of institution building in the world. The success of the book led to the birth of AISECT Publication. Shri Vijay Singh, Registrar of Rabindra Nath Tagore University proposed the vote of thanks. The function was conducted by the Professor Chancellor of the University, Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi.
