Governor Ramen Deka has donated an amount of Rs. 1 lakh 80 thousand to 30 TB patients of Bilaspur, Koriya and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh districts of the State. This will help in providing nutritious food to the patients which will help in improving their health.
Governor Deka has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs. 60,000 for one year to 10 TB patients of Bilaspur district. Similarly, 10-10 TB patients of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh and Koriya districts have also been given financial assistance of Rs. 60-60 thousand for one year at the rate of Rs. 500 per month.
It is noteworthy that under the flagship scheme of the Government of India, Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the target is to make the country and the state TB free by the year 2025. Shri Deka stressed on the need for community participation and people’s cooperation to make the State TB free. During the visits to the districts, they themselves take the information of the patients and all possible help is ensured for them.
