Bollywood veteran Govinda has finally responded to his wife Sunita Ahuja’s claims that he did not help their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, in launching his acting career. Sunita had recently alleged that Yash had to navigate 90 auditions on his own despite being the son of the celebrated actor, contrasting this with other Bollywood families where stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Suniel Shetty actively supported their children.

Govinda shared his perspective, stating that he had stepped away from politics to ensure that his professional life did not impact his family. “When I left politics, I thought about shielding my family from rivalry, jealousy, and other negative influences. That was my priority,” Govinda explained. He added that he had even arranged for Yash to observe the filmmaking process under producer Nadiadwala, giving him exposure to the industry.

Addressing his son’s budding career, Govinda praised Yashvardhan’s talent, saying, “I am confident that Yash will emerge as a better actor than me. Technically, he is superior. If his skills are properly showcased, he will achieve great success.”
