Political tensions have escalated in Gujarat as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Isudan Gadhvi has alleged serious election-related violence following a reported firing incident involving AAP candidate Ajay Bambhaniya in Una. The incident has triggered a fresh debate over law and order during the ongoing electoral process.

Referring to the case, Isudan Gadhvi claimed that the situation reflects growing “Gujarat election violence,” stating that the state’s traditionally peaceful political environment is being disturbed. According to Gadhvi, AAP candidate Ajay Bambhaniya was allegedly receiving threats before the reported firing incident took place.

He said that the sequence of events—from alleged intimidation to the firing incident—raises serious concerns about security arrangements during elections. Gadhvi also questioned how weapons reached the candidate’s vicinity despite official claims of arms being seized.

According to him, Ajay Bambhaniya and his team are standing firm despite alleged intimidation, and the firing incident is being linked to their refusal to withdraw from the electoral race.

He further stated that the situation reflects a worrying pattern of “Gujarat election violence,” where candidates are allegedly being threatened to influence electoral outcomes.

Appeal to voters and political message

Addressing voters in Una, Gadhvi appealed to the public to support AAP candidates in the upcoming elections. He said that if, as per his allegations, candidates are “facing bullets for the public,” then voters should respond through democratic means at the ballot box.

He urged citizens to vote responsibly and ensure that what he described as “misuse of power and intimidation” is rejected through the electoral process. He reiterated that the growing concerns around “Gujarat election violence” must be addressed through public awareness and participation.

Gadhvi also appealed to the police administration to act impartially and ensure a fair investigation into the matter. He emphasized that proper legal procedures should be followed and that complaints should be registered without delay.
