Special Tributes and Public Participation
Earlier on Monday, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and CM Rekha Gupta offered prayers at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, the site where Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib’s mortal remains were cremated, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Later in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the congregation to pay his respects, further highlighting the event’s national significance.
Public Holiday Declared in Delhi
To honor the Guru’s legacy, the Delhi government declared November 25 a public holiday, allowing citizens to participate in the celebrations and pay homage to the spiritual leader.
