Haldwani Violence: Four more rioters were taken into custody, bringing the total number of rioters detained in the rioting that started on February 8 over the destruction of an illegal madrasa in Haldwani to 78.

In relation to the violence in Haldwani, six individuals, including the “mastermind” Abdul Malik and his spouse, were the targets of a new fraud and criminal conspiracy case that was filed on Thursday, according to police.

According to them, four more rioters were taken into custody, bringing the total number of rioters arrested in the rioting that started on February 8 over the destruction of an illegal madrasa in Banbhoolpura to 78.

Six people have been charged with criminal conspiracy and fraudulently using a deceased person’s name for unlawful plotting, building, and property transfer, including Malik and his wife Safia, according to Nainital SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena.

According to him, the defendants have been accused of forming a criminal conspiracy to fabricate affidavits in order to deceive the court and government agencies.

Haldwani Violence: He informed reporters that they had been charged under the Indian Penal Code’s sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 417 (cheating), and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

Three FIRs were already filed in relation to the incident. Malik and his son Abdul Moid were previously the subject of a lookout notice, and their town property is attached.

Police alleged that Malik had constructed the unlawful madrasa and fiercely fought its removal.

His spouse had even filed a legal challenge to the demolition notice issued by the municipal corporation.

Four more rioters were taken into custody for their actions on Thursday.

Haldwani Violence: The SSP added that the individuals distributing money were from an NGO with headquarters in Hyderabad. The video went viral and showed people in the riot-affected neighborhood of Haldwani receiving money. According to him, investigations have shown that certain members of the non-profit organization “Hyderabad Youth Courage” have dispersed cash.

“An investigation is being conducted into the source of the funds and the amount they distributed. The police and other relevant agencies will take appropriate measures, according to Meena. On February 8, protests over the destruction of an illegally constructed madrasa in the Banbhoolpura district erupted into violence. Residents threw stones and petrol bombs at police and municipal employees, causing many of the officers to take cover in a police station, which the mob then set on fire.

Haldwani Violence: According to officials, at than a hundred people were hurt in the violence, including media representatives and police officers, and six rioters were killed.
