The Minister highlighted several key initiatives taken by the Bhagwant Mann-led government to honor the legacy of Baba Saheb. Key highlights from his speech include:
Inspirational Leadership: He pointed out that Punjab is the first state to replace the Chief Minister’s portraits in government offices with those of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to inspire public servants.
Inclusive Representation: Highlighting the government’s diversity, he mentioned that six ministers in the current Punjab cabinet belong to the Scheduled Caste community, marking a significant step toward social representation.
Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO remarked that the essence of Ambedkar Jayanti lies in practical action rather than just words, which is why the government is prioritizing policies for the underprivileged.
A Vision for Social Justice
During the event, the installation of a new statue of Dr. Ambedkar was discussed as a symbol of eternal guidance.
