In Haryana, the Backward Classes Quota was raised to 27%.
Haryana: The quota percentage for Backward Classes in Group-A and Group-B jobs will rise from 15% to 27%, as declared by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He also declared that a special recruitment campaign will be held to fill the backlog of openings for Backward Classes in Groups A and B.
Additionally, the creamy layer’s annual income cap would increase from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. It would give those in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category a considerable boost in terms of employment.
He made this announcement on Monday while presiding over an OBC Morcha Sarv Samaj Samrasta function in Gurugram.
He announced the implementation of the higher annual income cap for state government employment, pending approval by the Haryana State Backward Classes Commission. Furthermore, he stated that the income from salaries and agricultural sources will be excluded from this cap, just like it is for the Central Government.
The Chief Minister declared that the state’s recruiting process through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam will incorporate the 27% reservation in order to facilitate the employment chances for OBC youth.
According to CM Saini, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering vigilance in safeguarding the rights of the OBC minority is a source of pride. According to him, the OBC community was not being denied their rights, and the federal and state governments were always putting different plans into place to fully respect and acknowledge the OBCs.
He went on to say that the administration had done its part to assist the OBC group in the state at all levels during the previous ten years. He claimed that through a variety of programmes, PM Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” had empowered people by bringing even the most remote member of society together.
He claimed that by designating the underdeveloped regions of the nation as aspirational districts, the Central Government has made tremendous progress toward the general development of those areas. He said that Nuh district was part of the Central Government’s aspirational strategy, which featured ongoing development initiatives to raise the socioeconomic standing of the populace.
According to the chief minister, the Haryana government offers scholarships for education worth between Rs 12,000 and Rs 20,000 in order to give OBC students access to high-quality education. The OBC community’s skill development was another area of attention for the administration. In addition, PM Modi stated that the Bhagwan Vishwakarma Scheme would receive a budget of Rs 13,000 crore for the purpose of training individuals in 18 crafts, which would also assist the state’s citizens.
The OBC trainees received financial support of Rs 500 each day during the program, and he said that at the end of the course, they would also receive a kit worth Rs 15,000 to help them start working.
