Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh, has sanctioned the procurement of essential medicines and medical consumables for the prisons in the state worth Rs. 2.84 crore.
Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson stated that a consolidated demand for the required medicines and medical consumables is being sent to the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited (HMSCL), an approved source by the State Government for such procurements.
The spokesperson stated that this step is crucial to ensure that all prison inmates have access to necessary medical care and supplies, thereby upholding their right to health and hygiene.
