This changed environment in the state has instilled hope in the youth that they can now get government jobs based on their hard work and merits. In his address, the Haryana Chief Minister said that the Haryana government has not only strengthened the basic infrastructure of education but has also brought significant changes to schools. He mentioned that good teachers are present in government schools as they pass several tests to become teachers. The government is continuously improving the quality of education, and a new education policy has been formulated by the central government. The Haryana government is also making radical changes in the education sector in line with the new education policy. To promote girls’ education, a women’s college has been established within a 20-kilometer radius. He informed that around 35 women’s colleges have been opened in the state in the last 10 years so that girls do not have to travel far to get an education and are not deprived of it. He also mentioned that the government has decided that no child should drop out of school. The education department regularly reviews this, and where children are found to be dropping out, teachers go to those areas and encourage both the children and their parents to re-enroll them in school.
The Haryana Chief Minister urged the students to set their goals and move forward in life, assuring them that success will follow. He said that Karnal’s daughter, Kalpana Chawla, not only brought glory to Karnal and Haryana but also to India by reaching space. He expressed happiness that a government medical college has been established in her name by the Haryana government.
