Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a target of planting 1.50 crore saplings has been set under the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ campaign to make the environment clean and beautiful. He urged that every citizen should plant at least one sapling as this is a significant step towards environmental protection.
The Haryana Chief Minister was speaking at a ‘Nagrik Abhinandan’ ceremony organised by Shri Vaishya Aggarwal Panchayat at Aggarwal Dharamshala in Kurukshetra late Sunday night. Earlier, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of the Agrasen Bhawan to be built in Sector 8 by Shri Vaishya Aggarwal Panchayat. MP, Sh. Naveen Jindal, and Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Subhash Sudha also accompanied the Chief Minister. During this, the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, MP Sh. Naveen Jindal and Minister of State Sh. Subhash Sudha jointly announced to give Rs. 31 lakh.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ campaign, 20,000 saplings were planted in Karnal and 5,000 in MP, Sh. Naveen Jindal Kurukshetra. Every citizen should plant one sapling each. This initiative has been started by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, he said.
The Haryana Chief Minister said that over the past 10 years, the central and state governments have worked on basic amenities for people. Moreover, the central and state governments are continuously working to make people’s lives easier.
Meanwhile, MP, Sh. Naveen Jindal said that people from all over the world want to know and see the holy land of Kurukshetra. The central and state governments have worked to develop this religious site into a tourism hub. Agrasen Bhawan to be built in Sector 8 by Shri Vaishya Aggarwal Panchayat in Kurukshetra will be prepared with a modern design so that tourists and local citizens can get high-level facilities in the building, he said.
Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Subhash Sudha welcomed the Chief Minister at the ‘Nagrik Abhinandan’ ceremony and said that this building would certainly become a center of attraction for society. He said that the central and state governments have spent approximately Rs. 5000 crore on the development of the Thanesar constituency over the past 10 years.
The program was attended by many dignitaries, including President, Shri Vaishya Aggarwal Panchayat, Sh. Satprakash Gupta.
